At 6:15 a.m. yesterday, when the sun was rising over Guams horizon, faithful supporters were still waiting for the final count from the Tamuning precinct that kept Guam Election Commission officials and board members at the University of Guams field house.
GEC officials said they could not reconcile the number of people who voted with the number of signatures.
Calvo said he felt very excellent about the count and the results reached the 50 plus 1 threshold.Nonetheless, he is not discounting the possibility of a recount.
At the Democratic headquarters of Gutierrez-Aguon, the former governor said given the close numbers between them, the election is not over yet, and will await what direction GEC will take. GEC board members met yesterday at 5 p.m. to discuss the election.
