ANOTHER burglary and theft incident occurred at Ladder Beach, the third reported in the past few weeks, according to Crime Stoppers coordinator PO2 Jason Tarkong.
Over $300 cash and two female purses containing valuables were taken by the still unidentified suspect/s.
It was not mentioned in the report if the victims were tourists or residents.
Police said on Saturday, at about 4 p.m., the victim parked a rental van near the top of the stairs leading to the beach.
Tarkong said: The victim was with some friends and left the van unlocked as they walked downstairs to look at the beach. A few minutes later, they returned to the van and departed the area.
They later learned their purses missing from the van and realized they were stolen while the van was parked.
Tarkong is asking the help of members of the community who may have information about this and other crimes.
They are urged to call the Department of Public Safety or Crime Stoppers at 234-7272.
Crime Stoppers pays up to $1,000 for any information leading to an arrest.
