THOUSANDS of government workers were disappointed they did not get paid on Friday as scheduled despite the enactment of a new law allowing acting Gov. Eloy S. Inos to reprogram $10 million for their payroll.
Some who were interviewed by this reporter suspect the administration of using the œpolitics of dread to force the Legislature to pass certain legislation such as the Saipan casino legalization and the austerity bills.
